Bob works with College Funding Solutions as a Certified College Advisor.
I am a parent just like you! This is the very reason I got started in college planning. At first, I was just trying to educate myself on how in the world am I going to help my children pay for their college education. I was just as confused and overwhelmed as you might be at this time in your life. The cost was staggering and all the rules, laws and deadlines, it was very difficult getting my arms around the whole process. I quickly realized as a parent I was at a disadvantage when it came to paying for college and trying to get information and work with the financial aid system. It has become a real passion of mine to help as many students and parents save on the cost of college and level the playing field!
I help families save ON the cost of college, not just FOR the cost of college. In doing so, we create a much better picture as far as retirement looks financially. College and Retirement: You Can Do Both!
I have been in the Financial Services industry for 38 years now. I started as a Registered Representative with the New York Stock Exchange back in 1985 with Shearson Lehman Brothers. Since 2012, I have built my own Independent Insurance & Financial Services firm here in Berea, Ohio. I have been working in the “Late Stage” college planning niche for the past 14 years. One thing I’ve learned is that college is a business (A Big Business) and the deck is stacked against both students and parents when it comes to funding an education!
I grew up in a suburb of Cleveland, Berea, Ohio and graduated from Berea High School. I then moved on to Bowling Green State University and I’m proud to say I was the first “King” to graduate from college (in 4 years).
I like to get my day started with a walk around my hometown where my office is located. I also like to play golf and watch my Indians and Browns (although it has been a tough 23 years watching the Browns). I also like to get together with family and friends for dinner.
I am active in my church, the Avon United Methodist, especially with our “Feed The Hungry” program.
My mission is simple: Helping families save ON the cost of college, not just FOR the cost of college!
