Javier works with College Funding Solutions as a Certified College Advisor.
The area of college funding and planning is extremely important to Javier as he realizes the positive impact that this service can have on families with high-school aged children.
Javier works to create financial strategies through a combination of experience, knowledge and a focus on building lasting relationships with his clients. He explains complex issues in clear language to help people feel comfortable with the strategies they choose for retirement. Javier’s business career began in 2003, and for 11 years he developed his experience and leadership skills while launching businesses and consulting for a diverse range of organizations, including startups, oil and gas companies, and Fortune 500 companies. In 2014, Javier became a retirement planning specialist to help people pursue financial independence.
Javier has an MBA, with an emphasis in accounting and finance, from Regis University and most recently received a Certificate in Retirement Planning from the Wharton School’s Executive Studies Program. Javier has passed the Series 7, 24 and 66 securities exams. In 2020, ColoradoBiz nominated Javier in a list of the 50 most influential young professionals across the Colorado business community.
Away from his office, Javier serves on the board of the Doreen Katz Memorial Cancer Foundation, which helps parents living with cancer by providing grants and resources to their children in need of school, sports or therapeutic activity. Javier is also dedicated to local wildlife, with efforts to help conserve more than 17,000 acres of Colorado land.
Javier also serves as a board member of Mile High 360, which provides first-generation college bound students with comprehensive wrap-around services in three core areas: Academics, Health & Wellness, and Life Skills. Programming includes academic assistance, health & wellness programs, and life skills experiences such as community service, mentorship, and job support. ALPFA, which is the first national Latino professional association in the United States, founded in 1972 with a mission to develop Latino leaders for the nation’s economy. With over 95,000 professional and student members, ALPFA offers networking opportunities, leadership development, and access to paid internships through corporate partnerships, with a goal to become the preferred business partner for companies seeking to hire and develop Latino talent.
“College planning and family education can achieve remarkable results in terms of financial savings, decreased student loan burdens, expanded career opportunities, and even acceptance letters from prestigious schools previously thought unattainable.” Javier
